I swore I wouldn't...

buy a princess bed. I have no desire to own a princess bed. A bed that cannot be used on my 2nd child when he is ready for a toddler bed.

We own a princess toddler bed.

She saw it at Target. She said, and I quote, "Oooh! Its a princess bed! Lets buy it, and then I can sleep in it!" This was after almost a month of trying to get her to sleeping a borrowed regular, plain-old toddler bed that she insisted was scary. We bought it, we put it together, she slept in it and never looked back. She loves the silly thing. So, we own a princess bed.

By the way, right before I took this picture she came and found me. Here's how the conversation went:

A: Mommy, come with me into my room.
Me: okay, I'm coming.
A: Look! I made my bed!

Rosie this is a great post, I've loved reading about your move and househunts and now bed hunts. I can completely agree with you on this (I still want gender neutral items and I have 3 girls so far!). Anyway, maybe you could paint over the princesses when it's time to pass it on?

She has a cell phone... Its a flip phone with Cinderella on the front. Cinderella even talk to her on it... ;). Carter's got one two... my old one from when we upgraded last month. I can handle the cell phone thing... at least until they figure out what real cell phones actually do. =)

You're treading in deep water now!!!! I think I know why I had all boys. Much easier to say no to a grimy, crude little boy that refuses to take a bath.

Tell Allison that Grandma McKee is so proud of her!

You win some and you lose some, and I think that was a good one to give in to! Look how happy she is! Rosie, she has gotten so big and is such a cute little girl!

Oh so funny. We were lucky and got Jimmie a plain toddler bed that he was excited about before we saw the race car Lightning McQueen bed at Babies R Us. Of course when he saw it he wanted us to buy it and fortunately the conversation ended at "But Jimmie already has a big boy bed"

Phew!
