with cash! What?!? True story!
Buying a 2nd car with cash has been our BHAG for over a year now.
And its a good thing we managed it this year too... becuase yesterday I also went to the doctor... and baby #3 is on its way early this December! I got to have a sonogram (to date the pregnancy), which was nice, and baby had a good strong heart beat, was moving like crazy and is about the right size for 11 weeks along. :)

Nice ride!! And congrats on another baby. I assume since you had a u/s that this baby is a "bonus" baby? No matter what, it will be a wonderful addition, I'm sure.

actually, this baby was at least partly intentional... They did an u/s because I got pregnant immediatly after having my IUD out and I was very irregular on the IUD, so they did one just to make sure I was guessing about right. Which I was. It was probably not completely necessary, but I wasn't going to argue. :)
They did one for me for the same reasons and I didn't argue for the same reasons! Who doesn't want to see that amazing little heartbeat!!!
And you guys are awesome paying cash for a vehicle! Someday I'll be that awesome. Today is not that day.... :)
So did you wind up paying with pictures of Ben Franklin or a cashier's check? I hope the advice I gave was at least partially helpful.

We paid the deposit in cash and got the balance in a check. The idea of carrying around 95 $100 bills for even a few minutes was highly nerve wracking.

Great news! It will be fun to see what you have. I forgot to write back to your question. Our baby #3 is another boy, due mid-June.
